Captain Matt called in to report a good day of local codfishing. It was great to finally get back out on the water after nearly 2 weeks of gale warnings. The fishing was good right from the start with cod coming up on both bait and jigs. The wind started picking up and captain Rich anchored up and the fish kept coming in. The afternoon was slower with the wind. High hook had 5 keepers with most going home with a handful. Biggest fish today was around 10 pounds. We will be sailing tomorrow morning at 6am on the Gail Frances. The office will be open at 5am for ticket and tackle sales.
