ONLY ONE HALF DAY TOMORROW, FRIDAY AUGUST 21ST AT 8AM ABOARD THE LADY FRANCES!!
First mate Chris L reported somewhat better fishing today aboard the Gail Frances. The fish were still not spread out quite as well as would have liked but were spread out a bit better for the light crowd of fishers aboard. Hi hook took home seven nice fluke and a handful of other anglers had four to six nice fish apiece. The boat had its limit of good size sea bass to four pounds. Biggest fluke was around five pounds. A handful of nice size scup. No blue fish. Quite a few short fluke today. Today due to a faster drift whole squid and bait rigs were generally more productive. Tomorrow is a new day and the weather looks great with Capt. Rich ready to set sail at 7 am aboard the Gail Frances.
The night fishing last night was slow although we did see a slight increase in the number of blue fish. Tonight’s trip has been cancelled.
The afternoon half day fishing was complete opposite of the morning. A much better drift allowed anglers a good pick of both nice size fluke to 5 lbs and sea bass up to 4lbs. Most anglers left with something good for dinner! The morning half day fishing was slow. A few nice fluke and sea bass. Picture courtesy longtime regular customer Ginny Reed. Just ONE half day on tap tomorrow with the Lady Frances set to sail at 8am.
