JUST ONE HALF DAY TOMORROW!! LADY FRANCES 8AM TO NOON
First mate Chris L took the day off to go fluking aboard the Gail Frances and reported the fishing was AWESOME!! A very light crowd of anglers really lit up the fluke around Block Island today with a lot of quality fish over 4 lbs with the best around 7 lbs. Chris himself was hi hook catching 14 nice keepers while Mr. Pak, Mike from Providence, Rob from CT and two other regular customers from the NYC all had scores in the low teens for keepers (orl, of course!). Everyone on board left with some nice fish today. The boat was also easily limited out on it’s sea bass allowance for the day with fish to 5 lbs,and there were a few nice size scup. Six inch gulp were “hot” according to Chris and buck tail set ups (hi and lo) also produced but bait rigs caught as well. This is the best day overall that we have had in over a week. We are hopeful this is the start of a new trend and Capt. Rich will be ready to set sail tomorrow morning at 7 am aboard the Gail Frances.
Capt. Matt reported a good full day of fluking for the Douglas Plumbing group private charter. Nothing big but a nice amount of fluke up to nearly 5 lbs and a handful of keeper sea bass. Quite a few short fluke as well.
Capt. Don Ruth reported a good morning of half day fishing! A few nice keeper fluke and good fishing with nice size sea bass and big porgies for a healthy turnout of fishers aboard the Lady Frances. It was great to have Capt. Don back in the saddle if only for a brief while. We’ve missed you Capt. Don!
Just one half day again tomorrow with the Lady Frances set to sail at 8am.
The night trip is a go! Plenty of room if anyone else wants to make a reservation. Capt. Ray will set sail aboard the Lady Frances at 7pm.
