Sounds as though the sea bass are chewing this morning on the half day! Here is an example of the bomber sea bass that are out there! Photographed by owner Christine Blount. Two half days on tap tomorrow with the first set to sail at 8am and the second at 1pm. The 1pm half day trip will require reservations.
The Night fishing last night showed a bit more promise and hope than prior nights, before they lost the tide that is. Several keeper bass to 15 lbs and a few shorts and a few more misses before the tide and then bite petered out. Tonight’s trip is a go! Plenty of room so call the office if interested in making a reservation. Tonight’s trip will set sail at 7pm with Capt.Ray aboard the Lady Frances.
Capt. Mike reported a nice mix of fluke and a limit of sea bass on the half day charter for the Keith Amaral group.
First mate Chris L reported a good day of fluking aboard the full day boat today with a few limits recorded and a good number of the anglers aboard boxing four to six or seven nice fluke apiece. Gulp and various buck tail methods were generally more productive. Biggest fish was seven pounds today with a handful of other nice fish over the 4 lb mark. There were some very big sea bass today with sizes to 5 lbs but no scup. Last but certainly not least, was that fine 6 lb cod shown earlier in today’s post. Tomorrow looks like another great fishing day and Capt. Rich will be ready to set sail aboard the Gail Frances at 7am. A couple pics provided courtesy customer David Hart Beal from RI.
