Another very good day of fishing aboard the Gail Frances today. There were a number of limit catches and many others who were not that far behind. There were certainly those who had less but overall the streak of good fishing continues. Longtime regular Brian Cofske from Webster MA for example had an easy limit using whole squid today and had the second and third biggest fish of the trip with a pair of slabs in the six plus pound range. The boat had its limit of nice size sea bass as well. One fat keeper cod fish and a few short cod fish mixed in but no scup or blue fish today. Weather looks awesome tomorrow and the Gail Frances will be set to sail at 7 am with Capt. Rich at the helm. More details as they become available. It is just a beautiful day here in southern RI, the morning half day was slower than we would have liked but the weather just could not be any better. The fishing was slightly better this afternoon. Two half days on tap tomorrow with the first set to sail at 8 am and the second at 1pm. Back to back half days can net an angler $15 off the second trip. This gorgeous photo was taken by owner Christine Blount on this morning’s half day trip on the way back into the harbor.
Plenty of room on Friday and Saturday Night’s squid/combo trips. The trip leaves at 7pm and returns at 1am. Anglers can fish for squid or can fish for bottom fish or a combination of both. Recent night trips saw tremendous amounts of squid locally. If interested this trip needs to be booked over the phone with an office representative.
