Another very good day aboard the Gail Frances with a bunch of angler limits and quite a few others who were not far behind those fishers. A full boat limit of sea bass as well with sizes to four pounds and some nice size porgies. Fresh caught live bait, gulp, whole squid and buck tail set ups were all reported to be effective by fishers today. Rental rod set ups also did decently today. A dozen or so fish in the 4 to 6 lb range and the majority were were just nice large fluke in the 19-22 inch range as thick as could be!! Just tremendous amounts of bait on the grounds still yet. Capt. Rich will set sail tomorrow morning at 7 am aboard the Gail Frances.
The report from Capt. Don on the morning half day was of very good action with the porgies and sea bass but not a whole lot in the way of fluke. The afternoon half day was AWESOME!! A big pile of nice size fluke to six pounds and a nice bunch of good size sea bass. Some anglers had several nice fluke apiece plus their sea bass! Amazing how things vary from trip to trip and day to day, I guess that is why they call it fishing!! A couple pictures of this outstanding pm half day appear courtesy deckhand Connor McDermott. Great job Connor! Just one half day tomorrow with the Lady Frances set to sail at 8am
SPERM WHALES SIGHTED AGAIN ON TODAY’S WHALE WATCH!!! Another great day on the Whale Watch trip with Sperm Whales sighted for the FIFTH time this season!! Copious amounts of squid is helping the keep them regular visitors. Plenty of room still left on tomorrow’s Whale Watch that will set sail at 1pm.
The Night Combo Trip is a GO for tonight. And there is plenty of room! The boat sails at 7:00 p.m. and the weather looks beautiful!
