First mate Capt. Matt reported a very solid day of fishing aboard the Gail Frances today and that the fluke were more spread out among the fishers which is something we always like to see and report back. There were several limit catches and a good number of fishers who boxed several nice fluke apiece and everyone left with at least a couple good dinner fish. A nice number of sea bass as well. Pool winning fluke was 9 lbs with a few others in the 7 lb range. A few scup and that was about it. Great day of weather and fishing. A mix of good size sea bass and fluke on both half days today but the most exciting event happened on the pm half day when 8 year old London Rovezzi from South Windsor Ct successfully led a fat 15 lb keeper Striper to the safety of the net and aboard the deck of the Lady Frances. Well done London!! A photo of London with his great catch appears courtesy of Capt. Mike O’grady.
