TONIGHT’S BASS TRIP IS SOLD OUT!!!
Deckhand Zach reported that last night’s Striper trip only found a couple of cooperative bass but the blue fish which had only started to show the past few trips, really made their presence known. Fishers had all the blue fish up to 10 plus pounds they wanted, in fact a bunch of blue fish were left on board after everyone left! Next week is wide open however with availability all four nights Wednesday through Saturday at 7 pm. Book on line or call the office to make a reservation.
Capt. Matt reported the Saltwater Anglers Club from Bergen County NJ enjoyed a good day of fishing overall aboard the Admiral Frances. The fishing started off great with a lot of good size fluke to 9 lbs, big sea bass to 4 lbs and some healthy scup and fishing was solid most of the morning but upon the afternoon the tide change the bite just stopped cold and despite some looking around the bite remained slow. Still a solid day overall. We would like to thank the Bergan County NJ chapter of the Saltwater Anglers Club for their continued patronage and we were honored to be able to host them again this year.
Capt. Mike reported sea bass pleased anglers this morning along with some good size scup but just a couple of keeper fluke. Back to normal half day scheduling tomorrow with the Admiral Frances set to sail at 8 am and again at 1pm.
A gorgeous August day on the water was the report from Owner Christine Blount and the fishing was ok as well. Not a slaughter by any stretch but some quality slabs up to 9.5 lbs and some big sea bass to 4 lbs and good size scup to over 2 lbs pleased patrons. Some fishers did better than others today. Hi hooks were reported to be upwards to around a half dozen fluke apiece and a few others had four or five nice keepers. A fair amount of sea bass limits as well. The biggest hi light today was the friendly young Humpback Whale which decided to hang out around the Gail Frances for a short time this afternoon south of Block Island. Some great pictures today courtesy owner Christine Blount. Tomorrow Capt. Rich will set sail at 7 am aboard the Gail Frances.
