THE TUNA TRIP SET TO SAIL TOMORROW MORNING AT 7 AM IS ON!!!
The most recent tuna trip which came back this afternoon found a few yellow fin, a handful of albacore and a handful of Mahi. A White Marlin was caught and released as well. Plenty of room on the trip set to sail tomorrow morning, so if interested come on down to buy a ticket before the boat sets sail at 7 am.
Roger reported a good day of cod fishing today aboard the Gail Frances. A lot of quality fish came aboard today and the vast majority were gaffers. More than half of the cod fish were in the 8 to 15 lb range with some bigger fish with three fish in the low to mid 20 lb range fighting it out for bragging rights. Bragging rights went to long time regular customer Carlo from Stamford CT with a beautiful fish that was just a shade under 25 lbs. Way to go Carlo! The cod were not nearly as spread out today as they were on Wednesday with a bunch of fishers getting several nice fish apiece and a bunch not doing nearly as well. Plenty of scup of various sizes with the best easily over 2 lbs and some fishers getting 20-30 keeper scup apiece fishing smaller hooks and smaller baits. A decent amount of red hake, plenty of ocean perch, several large sea flounders, one fluke and one trigger fish complimented the cod fish. Fresh shucked skimmers seemed to be the way to go. Some pictures today courtesy of Roger. Next cod fish trip will set sail tomorrow morning at 7am aboard the Gail Frances with Capt. Rich at the helm.
