Captain Mike reported decent action the half day trips. We went back down to the west and tired to work the grounds for some scup and sea bass . We manage do pick a few keepers every drift and plenty of shorts to go around. Some fluke in the mix but not as many as we were fishing the rocky hard bottom. The afternoon did see better drifting conditions and we manged a good mess of sea bass and a few handfuls of keeper fluke. We will have both trips tomorrow at 8am and 1pm.
Captain Matt reported a tough fluke day on the Marathon trip. We took a ride down to the east as there has been rumors of lots of dogs by the Island. We took quite the ride for the first few drift. We found plenty of action but it was all sea bass, Lots and lots of sea bass. We had no problem getting a full boat limit to 5 pounds. We did some drifts closer to home and picked away some fluke not it was not the crush job we were hoping for. We will continue these on Mondays at 5am.
