Captain Mike reported a good pick on the full day blackfish boat. The wind came on right from the get go with made it a little tricky. Captain Mike got both anchors set and fish started coming over the rail. High hooks had limit catches to 9 pounds. Lots of short life today to keep things busy. A few cod in the mix as well. Sailing tomorrow morning at 6am.
Captain rich reported a rather sporty day on the cod grounds. We steamed out by the island and tossed the hook. We started picking right away on a mixed bag of bottom fish. Al the scup you could want a limit of nice sea bass. Cod were sprinkled in there and there but while we sat on the anchor we just build a huge pile under the boat. Biggest cod was in the low teens. No sail tomorrow with the south wind and Monday looks on the windy side.
