We have a very busy day on the boats today.
Captain George was at the helm of the Admiral Frances with a sea bass charter. We tried a few locations and found some very solid fishing. Not the biggest size on the sea bass but everyone left with a full limit and a good bag of scup.
Captain Frank was at the helm of the Lady Frances on a Cod/seabass charter. With the extra time we were able to travel out to some deeper water and found a good mixed bag of cod, scup, sea bass and winter flounder. We set the anchor in the morning and had a good pick going. As the morning got nicer we set the boat on a drift in a new location and saw savage sea bass fishing. Frank reported it was some of the best sea bass fishing he has ever seen. Throwing back double header 3-5lb fish. A nice of market cod rounded out the day.
We do have some dates left for the charter season. We can do grounds from 1-130. Just call the office and talk with Cory to reserve a boat.
Captain Rich took the ride down to coxes today and found a good pick of fish. Coxes has been holding less scup so it does give the best shot at catching more cod. Today was a little slower on the sea bass and they were on the smaller size. We had many sea bass limits around the boat with everyone going home with a few. more cod on coxes then frank had south of the island and nicer size as well. Sailing tomorrow morning at 7am. We are keeping an eye on next weeks weather as it is looking a little unsettled.
