Captain Cole reporrted a decent day on the cod grounds. We had a great showing of nice cod to just shy of 20 pounds. A few nicer fish in the 10-15lb range as well. Nice sea bass to keep rods bent between keeper cod. Slower on the scup but a few for anglers who tried smaller hooks. Sailing tomorrow at 7am
Captain Greg reported a stellar 3 day tuna trip. We tried some new grounds after some solid reports. We had a great first day with around 2 dozen tuna coming on the troll and the first night. The second day saw a few fish but when we set the hook for the night all hell broke loose. We boated 35 yellowfin in less then 2 hours. We broke off a more then we landed but if you broke off you were back hooked up in minutes. The fish were mostly in the 30-50lb range or the 60-75lb range. We did break off some larger ones with one estimated to be closer to 125lbs. We ended to the trip with many limits and close to a boat limit. Jigs and bait both worked well. Sailing this coming weekend for another 3 day trip.
