Captain Rich reported a better day on the fluke grounds. We took the ride to the island because the rumor was the dog fish had cleared up. We did find some better fluke fishing but much slower on the sea bass side. High hooks had limits of fluke. The actions was slower with not seeing all the bonus sea bass but was nice to see more fluke. We will be sailing the next few days and the weather looks great.
One of the most common questions we get is the morning fishing or the afternoon fishing better. It reall does depend on the day. today the morning saw the slower action with the left over sea from the blow yesterday. We picked away on some keepers and shorts but was way off from what we have been seeing. The afternoon had a better drift and lots more actions. Many groups left with there sea bass limits and some nice flat ones to boot. Sailing both trips tomorrow and Friday but Saturday only has the morning but it is sold out.
