Capt. Rich reported a slower day of fishing with little to no drift but gorgeous weather. The beautiful weather brought out a great group of fluke enthusiasts who worked really hard for the fish they got. Still a good number of fish over 5lbs boated. Quite a few blue fish and out of season seabass to throwback as well so one certainly could say the catching was good anyways. A handful of hot shots did still manage to put several nice fluke apiece in their coolers. Capt. Rich looks forward to another nice day on the water today with the Gail Frances setting sail at 7am.
First mate on the morning half day, Capt. Cory reported some nice fish to 8lbs for a very light crowd and the word from the second half day outing was that the anglers aboard had a mix of keepers and shorts. Next brace of half day outings slated for today at 8am and again at 1pm. Reminder to customers that starting July1st we revert back to our normal half day sailing schedule which is two trips daily 8am to Noon and 4pm to 8pm with the 1pm to 5pm trip slated for Mondays Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
