First mate Troy reported that the Night Fishing last night contained both good news and bad news. The Good news is that they boated a fine 35 lb Striper and the lucky angler was Zach Escholas from North Kingstown RI. The not so good news was that generally speaking the fish seemed to have lockjaw despite being marked well on the fish finder machine. A few other nice bass and a handful of short bass in addition and that was about it. Picture coming soon courtesy deck hand Greg.
Good half day fishing continues this morning. Sounds like both the fluke and sea bass are cooperating aboard the Lady Frances. Well done to young Grace Carhart from NH who decked a huge sea bass just a few minutes ago! Owner Christine Blount was kind enough to send in some pictures showcasing a few angler hi lights. Full report to follow! The rest of the report from owner Christine Blount was of lots of big sea bass and some nice fluke with the rental rod set ups out producing the buck tail fishers today. Lots of folks aboard left with at least enough for a nice meal today in addition to plenty of action with the short sea bass and shorty fluke.
The report from first mate Chris L was of an okay day on the full day boat with some nice fluke to 5 lbs and a limit of sea bass up to 4 lbs. Hi hook boxed three keeper fluke today. Weather looks awesome tomorrow and Capt. Rich will be set to sail at 7 am aboard the Gail Frances.
