Roger reported another very good night of squid fishing. A solid steady pick ensued drift after drift all around the Gail Frances. Catches varied from fisher to fisher but longtime regular Will was likely hi hook honors with 134 pieces which more than filled a six gallon bucket to the brim! Mr. Pak also easily filled at least one five gallon pail. Other fishers had around 100 pieces and full five gallon pails and most others had closer to a half bucket with a few more having more and a few more having less. The sizes on the squid overall was downright remarkable with about 50-60 percent of the tubes being jumbos. All different styles of squid jigs seemed to produce pretty good results. A few pictures courtesy of Roger which were taken about half way through the squid trip. The mates also offer a service of bagging and rinsing the squid for patrons for a nominal fee. Next squid trip is tonight at 7pm aboard the Gail Frances with Capt. Mike, please call the office if interested in making a reservation.
