Captain Greg reported a decent pick of scup and sea bass on the morning half day trip. The grounds have come back to life after the storms of the last 2 weekends. Many sea bass limits around the boat and lots of action to keep rods bent. The afternoon saw much of the same action. Plenty of room this upcoming week.
Captain Rich reported some up and down fishing the last few days. Sunday was a decent pick of a few dozen fluke and some sea bass limits. We worked the grounds hard and did what we could. Today was a much different story with a very slow day on the fluke. The sea bass and scup seemed to move in to the grounds overnight and looks like they are here to stay. Full sea bass limits and plenty of scup for those who wanted them. Dont forget Sea bass limit goes to 7 on September 1st

Captain Rich reported a slower day on the fluke grounds. It was 100% the weather playing a factor in the fishing. The wind never died down like forecasted but we made the best of it. The morning started out with drifts close to 3 kts. we moved the boat closer to the island in the rocks. We picked away on sea bass with 4-6 keepers a drift. Some limits around the boat but it was still slower over all. tomorrow is forecasted for 5-10kts and we will be back drifting and dreaming.

Captain Greg reported good fishing on the half day trips. Lots of action with the scup and sea bass. There has also been a load of chub mackerel swimming around letting anglers get a good little fight. Some fluke still in the mix as well but more scup and bass. The afternoon has been seeing slower action then the morning trips. Not sure if it is a temperature or a tide factor. Sold out tomorrow.
Captain Rich has been reporting slow fishing over all but improvement today. The water to the south is still on the dirty side. We have been going to some deeper water to find the fluke bite. Biggest fluke on the day today was a solid 9 pounder caught in the last 5 minutes of the trip. Sea bass limits around the boat as well with some good size bombers in the mix. Plenty of room this weekend.

We were back at it today after a few days off from the hurricane.
Captain Greg reported good fish on the half day grounds. The weather didnt seem to affect the fishing close to home. We had a good mixed bag of fluke, scup and sea bass. More scup then we have seen all year came over the rails on the morning trip. Captain George saw the same action in the afternoon with bent rods all trip long. Sailing both half days tomorrow on the Gail Frances
No full day trip tomorrow. Captain Rich reported a slower day on the full day grounds. The water was still very dirty from the storm unlike the inshore water. We tried here and there but over all a very long day. Some fluke, scup and sea bass rounded out the catch. The water should take another day to clean up and fishing will bounce right back
Aug 23rd
Well we made it through the storm with only a few minor things to fix. The crew was hard at work Saturday after the trips to prep the boats for the incoming storm. We put line after line on the boats and did out best. Cory went down the morning before the boats and did a last check. He stayed down checking the boat until the water crested the docks and it was time to go home. We spent all day Monday getting it back to normal and some basic house keeping.
There will be no trips tomorrow with the left over weather. The weather was more then fishable but for the everyone’s sake we are letting it settle one more day and we will be back to it on Wednesday at 7am
Aug 20th
All trips are scheduled to sail as normal tomorrow.
Sunday and Monday are canceled

Captain Greg reported 2 very different day on the fluke grounds. Tuesday saw no drift and very slow fishing. We did see some improvement towards the end of the day but it was very off from where it was. We sailed this morning and went back to the grounds and the fish were waiting. We worked hard and by days end we happy with the coolers. Some fluke limits and sea bass limits around the boat. NO trip tomorrow with the south wind and rain and week are keeping a close eye on the weekend.
ALL TRIPS CANCELED TOMORROW MORNING.

Captain rich reported OK to decent fishing over the weekend. We worked the area hard and some anglers faired very good and some watched. High hooks had limits catches of both fluke and sea bass. Some really nice fluke in the mix with a 12.5lb and a 10.5lb pool winning slabs. More short sea bass in the mix between the keepers. Weather this week looks good and we will be sailing every day by reservation.
Captain Keith and Captain Greg have reported OK fishing on the half day grounds. It would be called decent to good if we have not been spoiled the last few weeks with limit catches. Anglers are still managing limits of nice sea bass to 5 pounds. Some fluke in the mix depending on the drift with more shorter fluke showing up. Sailing both trips daily at 8am and 1pm by reservations.,
