Captain Cole reported a decent catch on the tog grounds. We tried a few new areas and found a chip everywhere we went. The wind and tide picked up after lunch and the bite was only in the stern. High hooks had limit catches. Other struggled to get dialed in on the strange bite. biggest fish was 7 pounds. A few sea bass and a cod here and there. No sail tomorrow with the gust 30 forecasted and keeping an eye on the wet and windy weekend.
December 5th
Captain Cole reported a good day of catching on the blackfish grounds. It was the slowest day in a while on the keeper front but the short action was incredible. Between the tinker tog and dink sea bass we had bent rods all day long. Those anglers who waited for the biggest bites did have some nice keepers for the dinner table. Water is still very warm for this time of the year. Seemed to be a little cold shock in the upper bay water and fish have been on the move to some of the offshore deeper spots. We will get back dialed in on Wednesday.
December 3rd
We will be sailing the seabass boat tomorrow morning at 7am. reservations can be made online at francesfleet.com
